about

Recorded May 1996.

By this point we'd kind of got a bit bored of just me and Giles writing and recording songs. We'd always invited guest players as and when they were required, but shortly afterwards we started to think seriously about getting a 'proper' band together.

Jimmy Dorito was an alter-ego band that we invented on a crappy bank holiday. We wrote eight song titles down and set about writing and recording the songs in four hours. It was a lot of fun - "Reachin' For A Reason" was a song that we recorded a little while after the initial session.

Over the years, I've played in a number of 'joke' bands (in fact, the name "Johnny Domino" was intended for a joke country band). Most of these have had an element of the rock or metal about them.

about

Giles and Steve formed JOHNNY DOMINO in the summer of 1993.
Over the next 3-4 years they recorded over 100 songs (known ... more as THE SHITHOUSE MASTERS) on a series of knackered 4-track recorders, drafting in other players on an ad-hoc basis.
Long-term SHITHOUSE alumni Jim became a full-time Domino in 1996, followed by Marc.
Johnny Domino played their final gig on December 23, 2006 at The Vaults, Derby. less
