about

Another one we worked up with Albert 'back in the day'. This was a great one to play live, especially the long droney bit in the middle - our constant striving for 'the new' was part of our problem!

The whistly-synth sounds were caused by the drum machine playing one of our keyboards when I recorded the drum track, MIDI-fans.

I thought it needed a bit more at the end - the extra bass part was a sampled acoustic guitar through a distortion pedal.

Guitar and bass tracks were recorded in Dick's kitchen.

about

Johnny Domino Derby, UK

Giles and Steve formed JOHNNY DOMINO in the summer of 1993.
Over the next 3-4 years they recorded over 100 songs (known as THE SHITHOUSE MASTERS) on a series of knackered 4-track recorders, drafting in other players on an ad-hoc basis.
Long-term SHITHOUSE alumni Jim became a full-time Domino in 1996, followed by Marc.
Johnny Domino played their final gig on December 23, 2006 at The Vaults, Derby.
