Another good thing about playing with a real drummer was that I didn't need to be worried about clearing off old tracks from the drum machine (at the time we bought it it seemed to be the very height of technology but will probably only have had the memory of a basic mobile phone). This meant we could dip into our older tracks - although I don't know if we ever stopped playing this live.
