about

Quite a tricky one this - again we rehearsed it for bloody ages.

However, the guitar solo was originally intended to be a real 'Slash-on-the-clifftop-November-Rain' type-affair. When it came time to record it I totally lost my nerve and ended up doing the more sedate final version.

Would it be a case of an in-band joke that no-one else would get? Who knows.

The "field-recordings" at the top and tail of this track were recorded with the microphone we christened "God's Ear" - it picked up EVERYTHING.

about

Giles and Steve formed JOHNNY DOMINO in the summer of 1993.
Over the next 3-4 years they recorded over 100 songs (known ... more as THE SHITHOUSE MASTERS) on a series of knackered 4-track recorders, drafting in other players on an ad-hoc basis.
Long-term SHITHOUSE alumni Jim became a full-time Domino in 1996, followed by Marc.
Johnny Domino played their final gig on December 23, 2006 at The Vaults, Derby. less
