Not My Night

from The First 100 Years by Johnny Domino

/

about

The weirdest thing about this song was just how much time we spent writing and rehearsing it. I've got loads of Mini-Discs (who else remembers Mini-Discs?) with bedroom recordings of endless versions of this song.

That's one of the oddest things about "The First 100 Years" - we spent ages (for us) learning how to play the songs as best we could.

Giles and Jim do singing, I do guitar and vibe-like keys (apart from Giles' 'latino-house' bit at the end), Marc was definitely on bass here and I think the more squelchy-anologue bits.

about

Johnny Domino Derby, UK

Giles and Steve formed JOHNNY DOMINO in the summer of 1993.
Over the next 3-4 years they recorded over 100 songs (known as THE SHITHOUSE MASTERS) on a series of knackered 4-track recorders, drafting in other players on an ad-hoc basis.
Long-term SHITHOUSE alumni Jim became a full-time Domino in 1996, followed by Marc.
Johnny Domino played their final gig on December 23, 2006 at The Vaults, Derby.
