about

Another example of bad handwriting leading to inspiration - I'm sure the original title was written as "Hey Groupie".

This was one of the first songs we wrote when we expanded from two-man JD to eight-legged groove-machine. Our good friend Albert helped us get it into shape.

Note - no matter what the LED tells you, drum machine through a distortion pedal is never loud enough. Hence the lo-fi explosion near the end. Limitations lead to inspiration.

Another Can steal ("I'm so green...") crossed with Blood, Sweat & Tears' "Spinning Wheel", which was regularly played at the great funk nights at the Loft in Derby.

about

Giles and Steve formed JOHNNY DOMINO in the summer of 1993.
Over the next 3-4 years they recorded over 100 songs (known ... more as THE SHITHOUSE MASTERS) on a series of knackered 4-track recorders, drafting in other players on an ad-hoc basis.
Long-term SHITHOUSE alumni Jim became a full-time Domino in 1996, followed by Marc.
Johnny Domino played their final gig on December 23, 2006 at The Vaults, Derby. less
