about

Recorded Summer 1995.

Always one of my favourite 'Shithouse' tracks, "Got It Easy" features Giles on Drums, Vocals and fabulously sloppy Lead Guitar (I must have been out of the house at the time, otherwise I never would have let him).

Our good friend Albert supplied detuned bass while I chugged about on Acoustic Guitar.

It was around this time that we realised the secret of getting a good drum sound was draping them in a plaid shirt - and a particularly garish orange one at that. You don't get this sort of stuff in "Sound On Sound".

Giles' old Uni friend and fellow comic-artist Pete really was completely tone-deaf - yes, he's drunk at the end but he think he's on the money with his unique interpretation of "Black Hole Sun", captured for posterity by Giles' Dictaphone.

about

Giles and Steve formed JOHNNY DOMINO in the summer of 1993.
Over the next 3-4 years they recorded over 100 songs (known ... more as THE SHITHOUSE MASTERS) on a series of knackered 4-track recorders, drafting in other players on an ad-hoc basis.
Long-term SHITHOUSE alumni Jim became a full-time Domino in 1996, followed by Marc.
Johnny Domino played their final gig on December 23, 2006 at The Vaults, Derby. less
