about

Ocassionally we would do things in JD which we thought were hilarious and that everyone else would get.

This is a case in point - at an early rehearsal for this song we were playing through it quite merrily when I suddenly thought, "I know what would fit here!"

Cue one instrumental verse of "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" and the song collapsing into laughter.

To my knowledge, no-one has ever remarked on this - did they think we'd ripped it off? Did they think we were doing it seriously?

Oh so misunderstood.

about

Giles and Steve formed JOHNNY DOMINO in the summer of 1993.
Over the next 3-4 years they recorded over 100 songs (known ... more as THE SHITHOUSE MASTERS) on a series of knackered 4-track recorders, drafting in other players on an ad-hoc basis.
Long-term SHITHOUSE alumni Jim became a full-time Domino in 1996, followed by Marc.
Johnny Domino played their final gig on December 23, 2006 at The Vaults, Derby. less
